CCC Cllr Rachel Carnac will be hosting a public meeting in Hoath Village Hall on May 6 from 5.30pm to discuss the proposed Installation of a Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System with associated infrastructure and works, at Land South of Marley Lane, Hoath, CT3 4JY
This will be an opportunity to raise issues that can then be discussed with CCC’s Planning Officer ahead of their report being written.
She has invited the project sponsor Enso Energy, and has pointed out that their last public meeting in August 2021, was at a time when many people still didn’t feel comfortable being in a public space, plus their plans are now different to those proposed previously.
There really needs to be more public engagement before the planning consultation deadline on 9 May 2025.
The solar plant, if built, would transform Hoath forever.
